Jesus. Hates Catholicism.
What.
Also, it says a lot about Chick when the Family Guy characters are the best-drawn things in his comic.

I have to say, that's not an interpretation of Rev 17-19 that I'm familiar with.

But the KJV is a dodgy translation written in archaic English that has had meanings shift.

I found some fun bits in there! For example: Compared to: In 1961 we have dad & the fam gathered DANGEROUSLY close to an old style electron-gun television set about to enjoy a nice, wholesome ritual murder in a genre of show that back then was just packed to the gills with racism, misogynism, and plenty of un-Christian morals like "shoot first and ask questions later," vengeance, justice by violence, and lawlessness. Today we have the family enjoying a ridiculously silly comedy on a big, non-radiation projecting screen and expressing tolerant and accepting attitudes towards those different from themselves. Not sure how that's worse. (Also worth noting: in the 1961 version we have strong-jawed, virile "MAN!" sitting with child while faceless, voiceless "woman" sits in the background. In the today version we have weak-chinned, shaking, un-shaven, wine-drinking "man" dominated by looming, aggressive "WOMAN!" Um, Jack? Your vaginaphobia is showing.)And how about this one? If you were to REALLY ask that question at any given gathering of Christian pastors in the USA, every single hand would go up. Every. Single. One. I have no idea where Chick gets his ideas. He really needs to get out more. Hell, even Rob Bell is only questioning the doctrine of Hell, not denying it. As for the rest of it, well, Chick's rage-erection for both the Catholic Church and Islam are legendary. What I find amusing is that with all the legitimate things out there you can criticize the RCC & Islam for, Chick still feels a need to just make shit up. And when he touches on truth or historical fact, he always screws it up by twisting and exaggerating for dramatic effect. And then, of course, is the pure nonsense he says that shows anyone with even the slightest amount of education just how ignorant he really is. Like when he says the RCC threw the KJV out of their churches....um....why would a KJV ever be in a Catholic church in the first place? The KJV was NEVER "loved and honored" by the RCC. How could it be? It was commissioned by a heretic!

I don't remember learning anything about the church killing in the name of Mary. But I do remember them killing in the name of god.
Besides, it's not like it's the Catholic church is the only church to ever kill anyone.

Odd, the first thing that ran through my mind when I saw that was: "I wonder if he got permission to use the characters of Stewie and Peter?"
My mind takes the strangest detours sometimes. Maybe my subconscious just already knows the crazy inherent in a Chick Tract and jumps to something else instead.

Protip: Burning Masonry out of your life makes your home cleaner, cures depression, and gives you an aggressive appetite.
