I am aware of that.
I'm not sure what to think about that as the last season of Digimon that was a direct sequel to another sucked.
Although since Xros Wars has broken the pattern of even numbered seasons sucking it might not be a bad thing.

One day I intend to.
Apparently it's a lot like Our War Game. Because it's from the same people or something of the sort.

It's quite wonderful. I highly recommend it.
And yes, it's the same director.

anyone else here seen Summer Wars? I did and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I watched a bit of the dub beforehand so I didn't feel biased and decided against it by the end of the introductory scenes. Kazuma has got to be my favorite character. Mamoru Hosoda is a wonderful director and Madhouse did a spot-on job with the animation. It's unfortunate that, in relation to other releases, Madhouse never gets nearly as many sales. The top DVD sales right now are filled with Mawaru Penguindrum and Steins;Gate among others.

Madhouse tends to do a really good job when it comes to animation. Like with Death Note. Also liked Black Lagoon for some reason...

In terms of animation quality, I have still not found anything that can equal Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust in that regard. The detail and care that went into that movie is phenomenal.

Well, Summer Wars has the best animation I've ever seen, at least off the top of my head.
But then, there is this...

well, no, the rest of the episode is normal, it's just that one scene.

well, no, the rest of the episode is normal, it's just that one scene. Yeah, that's right. I forgot that the first season of Nanoha had a few moments of INSANELY smooth animation because I know that's not the only clip that's like that.
