www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44534812/ns/weather/#.TnLILdSpFFgFirst Perry cut funding to firefighters, and then asked the people of Texas to pray for rain. I often wonder why we can't pipeline floodwaters from places like Missouri and Iowa, and send it to Texas. Apparently we can pipeline oil and natural gas from Canada to Texas.

I don't know, maybe there's stuff in the water that will clog the pipes?
Despite Perry and politics, I just hope Texans will make it through the drought.

I don't have family there, I don't live there, and I only know a handful of people there. In spite of this, I hope things improve for them. What with me giving a shit about people who are of no immediate benefit to me.

giving a shit about people who are of no immediate benefit to me. Bad road to go down, that. Too many people, not enough care.

Texas shouldn't be experiencing a drought or need to pray anyway. They're the good ones.

Oklahoma has it it's fair share of the drought too. But got a sprinking of rain yesterday morning, so we've had a bit of a break.

I think the obvious question here is why is God so angry at Texas.
Heathen Gay loving, poor enabling, won't kill you for killing people Canada is getting plenty of rain.
While the bulk of Texans should not suffer (I having a slightly different take on collective punishment then the Sky Daddy), clearly by Perry's own dogma, Texas suffers because they did something wrong.
I propose we follow the Bible for the solution. Specifically the parts about false prophets and how the land suffers for a poor leader.
Clearly Perry is both.
Yes, Perry should be stoned (the bad kind of stoned). After all, it's in the Bible.

Or not. Probably not.
