If there's blood coming from your hoo-haa then you;re unclean and can't touch anyone or anything and have to sleep in a tent in the back yard. I don't think they care enough to look close enough to know why, just that you have blood coming from your genitals. Also everyone knows that Good Christian Women don't partake of birth control. It's an abommy-nashun in the eyes of the LAWD. I guess I'll just have to lock myself in the isolation chamber until the sin stops dripping out of me. Really, we harlots shouldn't even be using computers. Everyone knows it's a sin for women to do anything other than baked delicious pies for our husbands and pop out tons of little babies.

Everything about this is fucked up. I'm only on the second page, and I'm already at my boiling point.
Oh, and surprise, surprise, the lack of regulation is mostly due to Republicans getting their panties in a wad anytime someone tries to change things.
Did Bush ever actually do anything that didn't suck?

It's particularly frustrating when the prof. can't even read off the slides/textbook/whatever without stuttering and stumbling over words. Some of them will be perfectly eloquent when speaking naturally, but turn into Hugh Grant the second they try to read something allowed.

It sucks that it's always the truly talented musicians who die way before their time.

Are any of you menstruating? Because I'm pretty sure I can't listen to you if you are. Does it count if it's a fake birth control period?

One of my favourite movies is The Land Before Time. Kids movies can still be awesome. Awesome and brutal. Killing his mom in the first couple minutes? Dayum. Especially when he sees a shadow which looks like his mom, but it turns around that it's just a rock formation.

nothing really, she was just like "oh, you're almost 30, Don't you think you're a little old to be watching MLP?" My mom defended me, by saying that one's never too old for cartoons, and she still loves to watch Tom & Jerry... Some of my favourite movies are kids movies. Of course, some of them are also stupid comedies or really violent, but still. The day I stop enjoying fun stuff is the day I might as well curl up and die. One of my favourite movies is The Land Before Time. Kids movies can still be awesome.

Allowing the child to see both parents seems to be more an issue of preventing the trauma associated with suddenly being cut off from a parental figure.
If we're going to pass judgment upon parents who choose artificial reproduction (versus merely disagreeing with them; and I'm seeing a fair amount of judgment going on here), should we not demonstrate that they're doing tangible harm to their child by only having one biological parent in his or her life?

I'm saying that being raised by both biological parents is only the most preferable when they are both responsible and capable. Obviously if the two biological parents are both drug addicts, then a responsible and capable adoptive couple is preferable. My issue is with purposely bringing children into this world who, from the start, will have no relationship with one of their biological parents. Can you provide any statistics demonstrating that having both biological parents in a child's life (versus those raised by two parents, one or both of whom weren't biologically related) has a meaningful effect on their well-being?

Unless they're proven to be a danger to the child, of course. Not, like, involuntary sterilization, but removal of custody and preventing them from adopting and fostering kids.

While I agree that it would be preferable if more people adopted children (particularly older ones in the foster system), I don't think it's fair to pass judgment on those who choose insemination/egg donation instead. We're talking about a fundamental biological urge here, one which is very difficult to override.
In the case of a gay couple, simply knowing that even one of you is related to the child can be a powerful thing. Likewise, these couples can have more than one kid, and each provide DNA for different children, using the same donor so the kids are all related to one another. Some might even have a relative of the non-genetic parent provide either the egg or sperm, so they'll both at least be related to the kid.
Why is having both biological parents preferable? Shouldn't it depend on the caliber of the parenting?

I know I'm not the only one who misread the title.
For content:
1) Take a box of macaroni and cheese, and a bag of Mr. Noodles (or some equivalent), preferably the spice chicken flavour.
2) Boil the water as normal, and dump in the macaroni. When those are partially cooked, dump in the Mr. Noodles (they get too soggy if you put them in right away with the macaroni), saving the flavour packet on the side.
3) Wait until all noodles are soft, then strain as you normally would. Add some better and/or milk along with the cheese sauce, like you normally would with mac and cheese. When that's done, pour in the Mr. Noodles flavour packet & mix it in.
4) Enjoy your spicy mac and cheese. It's surprisingly good.

This makes me a racist bitch, but why am I not in the least surprised that the person they interviewed who outright hated the billboard was Hispanic? I guess 'cause you're racist?
