Okay, so on the old site, when I clicked on the comments for a quote they would open up in a new tab, at least in Firefox. The new site doesn't do that. Will the "new tab for comments" be coming back? I liked it a lot, because I could just close the tab after I commented on a quote and then reload the main page, but now after I comment, I either have to hit Back two or three times and then reload the main page, or I have to type the URL in the address bar again.

I'm with MysticalChicken on this one. It's the same using IE. I find it irritating too. I'm using the dropdown next to the back button to go straight back to the main page, but I'd love to have comments open in a separate window again

Sorry to be such a whiner, I guess we are all so lazy now, but I was thinking the same thing, how annoying to have to go out and start over after each quote. It was easier before, we are just spoiled brats I guess

With Firefox you can make it open in a new tab, if you are using Windows right click the comments link and select open in new tab, if you are using Mac control click the link, I forget what it is in Linux. IE I have no idea, sorry.

Of course, if you're really lazy, you could click on the link with the scroll wheel.
In firefox (not sure about other browsers) that opens the link in a new tab.

Yeah, the second window thing was great. I would frequently use it just to open a new window and go to another site and retrieve a picture or link or something. I mean, of course I can still "right-click, open in new window", but this was easier. =3

That does work for me, but I so rarely (if ever) do that, that I forget that I can do it (in fact I never knew the scroll wheel was even clickable until very recently) so I end up regular-clicking it at first anyway, then I'll be like "crap!" and have to click "back" anyway so I can click the scroll wheel on the link. Same thing with right-clicking, I rarely do it unless I'm copypasta-ing something, so I always forget about the other right-click options.

Ctrl+click works too.

Clicking with the scroll wheel works for me, but I'm using Firefox and Lunascape, so I don't know what it is in any other browser.

I use IE and I can click with the scroll wheel, ctrl+click, and right click to bring the menu. On the menu you can choose "open in new window" or "open in new tab". Clicking with the wheel and ctrl+click both open in a new tab.

That's funny, it always opening in a new window annoyed the crap out of me.
I greatly perfer to decide where it goes myself. But hey, I'll toss a poll up somewhere and if people really do want it, what the hell, it's one line of code changed.

I agree, it made me scream everytime it opened in a new window, but it looks like I'm in the minority.

Opening in a new tab is nice, not in a new window though (just making sure it's specified).
Oh, and at least with Firefox, ctrl+click is in a new tab, shift+click opens it in a new window. Trying to click the wheel, at least for me, I keep moving the wheel and so the cursor is rarely over the link by time it actually clicks.

Hmm. Anyone got a shortcut to open link in new tab in Firefox on OSX? I have no scroll wheel, what with this being a laptop. Ctrl+click obviously just acts as a right click on here.
