Why do hardly any new quotes seem to make it onto the site these days? The average seems to be about 1 new quote a day per each of the three sections, if even that much.
It can't be for lack of submissions. I alone submit dozens of quotes, often as many as several a day. Also, why do virtually all the new quotes specifically relate to American politics? Americocentricism (sp?) is annoying, and there are far richer sources of fundyism out there.

Tragically, most of our public admin members were killed in the great quote explosion of Sept, 2011. Until we succeed in reanimating their corpses, things might be a little slow.

The lack of non-American quotes probably has to do with the lack of submissions from other countries.

Isn't public admin supposed to be somewhat open? If so, I've never been able to figure out how it works.

Right now there's enough for my purposes, I go through and clean up just about everything over 3 days old each morning. Frankly a lot of it is killed to bad links, pure spam, or remarkably uninteresting declarations of shit we've heard a few hundred times already. But it does vary quite a bit, if we actually get a lot of submissions on a given day we get more out, but that's generally only the first two days of the week. Some days I have all of about 4 submissions to make it through. Given the scores of some of the quotes from when there was squat for moderation I'm happy with how it works now.

It was terrible before there was moderation. It was common for there to be like 5 submissions of the same quote. Ugh.

It was just the first step I killed a few quotes the other day. I sometimes go thru every week or so.
