I'm not just talking about a run-of-the-mill conservative, have you ever lived near someone who was a neo-Nazi, white supremacist, extremely aggressive teabagger, etc.?
About a mile from where I live, there is a house with a large Rebel flag in front and several trucks and SUVs parked in front of the garage, all of which have Rebel flag, "Don't Tread On Me", and other similar bumper stickers. There is also a sign that says "trespassers will be shot on sight" and a very aggressive black dog in the front yard.
Have you ever had neighbors like that?

So, no.

Well I'll probably try to become such a neighbor. Minus the dog, I'm no good with pets, and minus the confederate flag. Then replace the SUV and trucks with a hybrid car. But the Gadsden flag, gun arsenal, and militarized home will still be present.

No real nutbars, but there is a dude in my neighborhood (same street on the opposite side of a major road) has "Smile, God Love You" painted (like professionally) on his tailgate. Also, around the corner there's a car with a bumper stick on its window with a picture of Ronald Reagan in cowboy hat with the text "Where have all the cowboys gone?"

Well, I have a minanarchist aquaintance, but he isn't very crazy. I also know someone in the tea party, but I'm not sure if he knows much about the tea party or if he's joking.
Most people I know aren't wingnuts.

I don't know where they live, but there's definitely a militant right-winger somewhere in the area. During the 2004 election, my dad had a sign for the Liberal party up in his front yard. One morning he woke up to discover that someone had littered the lawn with dozens of Stephen Harper signs.

What does it take to be an over militarized liberal gun nut?
Because that is going to be my dastardly hobby.

I don't have any neighbors like that, but one of my friends got kicked out of a church for wearing a Harry Potter shirt.

Once had a kid on my school bus route that wore a swastika on his neck, but I think it was with a pen and not tattooed in.
Lived about twenty miles away from a town that had a anti-federal tax, right-wing militia that hung an upside down American flag on a poll at their headquarters.

There's a dude a few blocks over that has a large painted sign in his yard that says, "I'll keep my guns, my god and my money you can keep the change."
I'm sure if I ventured outside the city more I'd see a lot more crazy shit...but I don't.

I once lived next door to some birthers that had a "Don't Blame Me, I Voted for the American" bumper sticker on their SUV. They were old people, though. Old people don't know any better. Right, Sandman?
