You know, down here in the good, God-fearing South, we lynch commie traitors like this "pastor." I bet he's secretly a homosexual atheist pedophile, too. [/moron]

As Marx said, the capitalist class creates its own gravediggers. Though I guess that isn't what this pastor meant.

Lenin loved to say the capitalists would sell him the rope he'd use to hang them.

This is the basic logic behind the progressive tax structure honestly.
People are to stupid to know when they're screwing themselves along with everyone else, the more they make the more likely they're doing it. Or at the very least the more people they're screwing over to make their money. So they pay more in taxes and the government tries to smooth things over before we wind up with a new round of labor violence.
Though if you're trying to sell it to a conservative it's best to reterm screwing to 'public resource usage'.
Edit: If anyone just heard that thud it was me reading Fred's Sig:

They're no capitalists. They're nihilists. The false equivalency created by the Teabaggers on how Capitalism=/=Socialism forgets the simple fact that capitalists still create things. This is earning money by virtue of destruction; destroying customers as their long-term purchasing power is diminished for a short-term revenue, destroying employees by squeezing all they can for the sake of a better profit margin, destroying the economy in general creating the barren wasteland of Gilded Ages. You tell me what these so-called "Job Creators" have done to influence the economy and long-term purchasing prospects positively, because I can't see fuck all.
Sorry if this sounds bitter but I and quite a number of people recently resigned, sort of in protest over a blanket hiring and raise freeze. And I know for a fact, at least where I am, the bank can pay for another clerk or fresh-grad. But they won't, because they're short-sighted enough to make us suffer because one stupid number on an annual report looks kinda iffy.

Well if the super-rich Republican Teabaggers collapse under their own weight, I can't say I'll be sad.

They're destroying the American economy because they want to dominate, not produce and be wealthy.
It's the picture of a boot stomping the face of the "unworthy" (read: everybody but them) forever that is their dream, not sitting on the pile of cash (which they already have).
I guess this is what you get when you feed people a toxic mix of belief in just world fallacy, plutocratic authoritarianism, sectarian seclusion and being soaked in the propaganda of Fox News and similar sources from the birth. In result, they believe the poor *deserve* to die horribly and the rich do nothing wrong when they take everything that poor had.
ETA: In other words, we get the people like Rick Perry.

Well if the super-rich Republican Teabaggers collapse under their own weight, I can't say I'll be sad. Problem is, they’ll be collapsing on anyone that happened to get under them as well. Not saying they shouldn’t collapse, mind you. Just that there will be a hell of a lot of collateral damage we had better be prepared to deal with.

They're no capitalists. They're nihilists. The false equivalency created by the Teabaggers on how Capitalism=/=Socialism forgets the simple fact that capitalists still create things. This is completely wrong. They are capitalists. THis is the pressures of their class. Even if deep down they don't want to screw workers over, they are under pressure to keep their business alive and growing. This is not because they are evil bastards (though I'msure some are). Also, capitalists don't produce anything.

I think I should add that by "they" in my last post in this thread, I mean mainly Republican leaders and their think-tanks, and many of their rich contributors (and many Democrats and their contributors as well). They get very rich and powerful by gaming the system and breaking it, sucking the economy and destroying the competition. They are threatening stability of the state and well-being of the citizens, all in the name of maximizing profit of their corporations and reducing the costs (for them, not for the ordinary citizen or the state). And since it's apparently working (in the short term), they consider themselves victorious and justified.
There are many corporations that do not wish to destroy the state, but since they don't have the competitive edge (given through malicious manipulations and gaming the state), many of them fight for survival instead of flourishing and aren't heard by politicians.
All it means that the USA won't be healed as long as money talks louder than anything else. The US political system got corrupted by the dependancy on the big money donations to politicians and lobbying the bad law.

They're destroying the American economy because they want to dominate, not produce and be wealthy. What really bothers me is that they put such great emphasis on domination that they don’t care what it is they are dominating. They don’t care if they are the king of the biggest shithole this side of a diarrheal elephant’s ass just so long as they are king. I mean: Have a little pride, man; if you’re gonna rule over something, at least pick something worth ruling over.
