www.kansascity.com/2011/12/25/3337932/action-aboard-airplane-creates.htmlYeah. If a Christian had said, "I did this because my faith tells me to help people," it wouldn't be news. A Muslim does it and suddenly it's a huge deal. Seriously? Muslims are pretty damn ordinary, at least here in America. We don't need to go ga-ga over the fact that one did the right thing.

His religion (or lack thereof, or whatever) shouldn't factor in regardless; the man did the right thing and that's all that matters. If we absolutely have to drag his personal beliefs into the light, at least it's happening in a way that helps contradict all the anti-Muslim dumbassery lingering in the social-political arena. I'm just glad no one was hurt.

The only reason this is an issue is because, unlike the entire rest of the free world, the United States has not socially advanced at all since about the 1970s. Had this occurred fifty years ago, the fact that a black person (for example) did the right thing would be headline news.

So, ending DADT so that gay and lesbians can openly serve isn't advancement, nor is the VA giving proper medical care to trans veterans, nor is the popular opinion shift on being against and now a majority for gay marriage...

Nice comic. The joke is an old one, but the comic is well drawn, I particularly like the "Oh god! He is going to kill meeee!" at the end.
