If Iran does blockade the Strait of Hormuz, expect the Arabs to be cheering us on as we annihilate the Iranian navy.
You know, I can't imagine morale is that high in the Iranian fleet. They have to know that if they do get into a shooting match with the US navy, the best they can hope for is to down a few planes before they get a one way trip to Davey Jones' Locker.

Secondly, Occupy Democratic Party. Reform media, reform elections. Then you've got a democracy. That's the way. A very good, honest, fair answer. Even if it is firmly rooted in the clouds. Please try to remember that in the United States, the Twilight series spent an insane amount of time on our Best Sellers lists, TMZ is still a highly rated show, South Park is considered biting satire and commentary, serious contenders for our nation's highest public office have been on record saying they want to legislate Christianity, and the Occupy movement has been painted (and bought by far too many) as a bunch of long hairs bitching about how they aren't getting free shit.

Actually, I expect morale to be very high in the Iranian fleet: It's been a long time since the US fleet was involved in any kind of major action at sea and the Iranian Navy is very, very professional. They're also no strangers to action, having done exactly this kind of operation before with great success.

When did they take on the US Navy?[/quote No I mean they've blockaded/fought in this area before. Last time around they were using fast attack boats to engage ships in the Gulf which ended when several other navies (such as the RN and USN) started escorting vessels through the area. Also, it's worth bearing in mind that Iran has two navies: The Iranian Navy and the Navy of the Army of Islamic Replublican Guards: The former utilises fast attack and missile boats in addition to the 'usual' type of vessels you would expect of any navy, the latter uses more fast attack boats, but as it's from the fundamentalist end of the spectrum and going on what Iran did during the Iran-Iraq war, there's every chance they'll start to use suicide attacks, possibly as a first resort.

I hate to dilute anyone's hysteria, but this is akin to "Iran threatens to hold its breath until it turns blue."
