Arthur C. Clarke had Chrislam in some of his books. I don't think it'll catch on in the mainstream. I will say that I think my God has a lot more in common with that of some of my nice Muslim friends than with Pat Robertson's God and such. But that's another story altogether.

Eh, if there's Christian Wicca (YA RLY), why can't there be Chrislam? I, for one, eagerly await the Jewish-Muslim combination.

Arthur C. Clarke had Chrislam in some of his books. Including the name. The book was The Hammer of God.

There's also Christian Witches, and Christopagans, and Celtic Christians (who are a lot like Christopagans except that their brand has been around for as long as the Catholic Church and is considerably more pleasant than said Catholic church as it actually advocates pro-women's rights, love above law, and didn't drop all the old traditions just because some new tradition came along) ...Might I add that Celtic Christianity is nothing like either protestant or Catholic Christianity and is sadly so rare?

That reminds me of the movie Americathon, which was set in the near future and included prominent mention of Israel and, I think, Saudi Arabia having enthusiastically combined to form The United Heb-Rab Republic. (The movie was a fairly lame comedy --- but even so, that bit was a stretch.) ~David D.G.

I knew this would happen one day. Infact I believe over years chrislam will be the most common form of religions. Believe me islam and christianity has a lot of common things, because Mohammed stole nearly all of his ideas from christianity.
Heck many times Christians funded muslims, I can't name all of these funds but for example, they are funding anti-evolutionist Harun Yahya. And most funny thing is christians also love his books even though he is a muslim.

Thanks. Now... what does this have to do with the discussion at hand? It just seems kinda random.

I remember reading that he reserved over 9000 links for some Islamochristian escatological crap. We need a Turk or some Muslim that read him to tell more about him. I think Mohammad stole more from Judaism than Christianity. Kosher and halal are exact same.

I think Mohammad stole more from Judaism than Christianity. Kosher and halal are exact same. I'm living in Turkey =P. Even though I don't read his books there is a quite strong view here in Turkey that Harun Yahya proved evolution doesn't exist(I think at least 50% of Turkish citizens believe that, no wonder we don't produce anything meaningful in science). It is extremely mad here for example, most of the biology students in universities even believes that crap. This graph explains more: 3quarksdaily.blogs.com/3quarksdaily/images/evolution_1.jpgAnyway I moved a little bit off-topic, it is quite interesting that he reserved over 9000 links for Islamochristian sites. These are really dangerous people for humanity. Anyway there is also another strong belief in Turkey that people believing in either christianity or islam are generally moral and christians will go to heaven if they never meet with islam(Judaism gets the shaft here =P). So it is fair to say that at least in some muslim countries there is quite a strong possibility for islamochristianity. I don't know much about christian views on this issue, but I doubt it is very much different.

Should Turkey fall to Islamofascist crazies, Europe will lose a considerable asset. The only guys that tried to stay Muslim and secular. I heard the new guy in charge has a Hitleresque moustache and thre a hissy fit before Israel.
Nothing changes for good.
(Judaism gets the shaft here =P) I thought all people of the book could reach heaven if they don't fight Islam.

It's not too surprising, really. Is it Voodoo that meshes elements of Christianity with Pagan beliefs? I know there's one, but I don't remember the name off hand.
Also, one could argue that Catholicism itself is a huge blend of European pagan rituals and Christian belief. And, of course, you have the story of Christ itself, which comes from pagan ideas.
So, a modern blending of two religions like this, while odd, is certainly not surprising.
