I watched earlier this afternoon. I was afraid that I was going to be expecting more than there was because of the hype, but I enjoyed it just as much as I was hoping.
I thought it was funny and scary (on the disturbing Fundie level) and I was glad to see that Maher said a lot of things that I had been thinking about.
My one complaint is about the captions and comments on the screen. A lot of them went off the screen before I could finish them.
I really liked the Vatican priest; he was humorous and I thoroughly enjoyed his answers.
Some of my other favorites, though not because I liked them, are the members at the Truckers Chapel, Jeremiah Cummings, and Mark Pryor.
When Pryor said, "You don't have to pass an IQ test to be in the Senate," I laughed so hard. The look on his face and how his smile just slowly disappeared was priceless.
Unfortunately, I didn’t pay as much attention to the end as I would have like due to the fact that I was lying on the couch, and once I lie down, it’s all over.
I'll definitely be watching again, though, because I would like to see it again and because my brother’s girlfriend really wants to watch it with me. I’m the only person in the family who will discuss religion with her.
I suggest you all watch it if you haven’t already.

I want to say I'm glad you brought this up because I had never even heard of it before. I thought it was a very good documentary. I even liked how it was done, not overly professional. Some of those people are scary.

So the dubbers are innocent? Great (for a sufficiently advanced definition of great)! I thought it was due to the fact German words are longer on average.

Some of the time I thought he was a little tedious, but as a movie that, in my opinion, wasn't meant to change the minds of the fervently religious but to entertain the like-minded, it was fairly successful for me.
