I've been directed here to ask a question (thank you, Jebediah! ) Is it possible to submit a quote anonymously? I have what I think is a gem of a thread, but the person in question is so paranoid I'm pretty sure they'll try to track me across the intertubes (now it's I who sound paranoid!)

All submissions are already anonymous unless you check the box to take credit for it. Distind will not disclose your identity to anyone and he is the only one with access to the information on the submittal forms I believe. (possibly Lady Renae does also)
Conversely you can always make a substitute identity to use. After all you can use any username you want for submissions and getting a yahoo email or google gmail account in that name takes only a couple of minutes. If you are super paranoid you can always go that route, along with posting it from an IP that is not your home one. Then no one could possibly trace it to you short of a law enforcement investigation.

Thanks mate. No, I'm not quite that paranoid, but there always seems something more sinister in being cyberstalked than stalked IRL (speaking as someone who's had 5 real-life stalkers). Wow, I'm making myself sound just totally sane, aren't I?!

Eh, read the conspiracy theories side of things, you'll feel quite sane.
But Ausador is right on all counts, if you want to enter your name for any later submission count consideration go for it, but you can always not check display your name. And if something happens and it does show, let me know I'll fix it.

Thanks very much, Distind. There are genuine reasons why I don't much fancy a lunatic fundie trolling me around t'interwebz, and it's nothing to do with personal safety I've submitted the quote now

Wow, I'm making myself sound just totally sane, aren't I?! What's even more fun is when an IRL stalker cyberstalks you too. I totally understand your paranoia--hell, I can think of other reasons I use this pseudonym myself.

Umm...I'm kind of curious as to why this Fundie is freaking you out so much. Do tell.
You can PM me if you aren't comfortable discussing it here, & if you aren't comfortable even talking about it, you can always just give me the URL to the quote.
