I've seen that, it was quite shocking. There's another story somewhere on YouTube about an Atheist girl who refused to get in a prayer circle before a school basketball game and a whole storm of shit followed.

Gotta love the 'Blaming the victim' mentality of the guy on the video.
"Oh you see atheists suing to keep God off of coins and the PoA, so theya re seen as militant. It's their own fault!"
Fucking cunt.

I love how NOT believing in a magical friend that only you can see and tells you how to live your life and what's right/wrong is somehow seen as having something wrong with you.

Been there done that. I haven't been run out of town, but I've been shouted down to where I just keep my mouth shut in mixed company.

I haven't really run into many problems. I attribute it to where I live.
Although, it's not like a HUGE total of people know my stance.
One time, someone did tell me it was "stupid," though.

That blonde chick can't even get her facts straight. In Engel v. Vitale it wasn't atheists who got mandatory prayer taken out of public schools, it was a religious group called Ethical Culture and some rabbinical organizations. Oh well, can't let silly facts get in the way of being a narrow-minded imbecile, now can we?

None of them really knew what the Hell they were talking about. Even the black guy was only logical to a certain extent. I was sort of wondering why they didn't have at least 1 atheist on the panel.
I mean; "It's a Christian nation." No, it isn't. The Puritans may have came here & killed the Natives, but the people who ACTUALLY set the country up were mostly Deists. Besides, Treaty of Tripoli. "They're too militant, just look at them trying to get God taken off the money!" Wasn't there in the 1st place until WWII. "They just need Hallmark cards." WTF? "They just need to shut up." Someone wasn't paying attention to the story, eh? I mean, really, 3 million people...& you're using like 2 or 3 court cases to make your judgement. You SAW all the shit that happened to that family, now you're actually going to say that it's THEIR fault? Umm...I don't run people out of MY town for the CRUSADES, so your excuse is shit.
And I'm sure I missed a lot, too. Hell, if CNN was really that hard-pressed, they could've given me a call. I'd've taken the job! And just think about what my explosion of laughter at the "hallmark cards" thing would have done for ratings!

Right, of course. Out of everyone in this so called "Christian nation" it's the Atheists who need to shut up. Makes perfect sense.
Also, I think the card thing is a great idea. Expect a "Happy Atheist Day" card in the mail, everyone.

I dunno about an atheist greeting card but I really want to give someone this Valentine's Day card with a picture of Charles Darwin that says "I select you naturally."
