I've been getting a handful of emails for the friends of FSTDT links, and this one mystifies me:

Poe, sarcasm or just ignorant? That's for you to decide America.

They're confused (what's new?). They seem to have the idea that we share the same beliefs.

There are unicorns in the bible? * hahah that is fantastic - that site might provide good front page material. I love the fact that they are arguing that if you don't believe in unicorns you think the bible is wrong - which is unthinkable therefore making you a "false christian" (their phrase not mine) The email sounds almost sincere (someone called Jenny does post on that site) but I don't really care it made me laugh (*Oo if you haven't looked I'm referring the story in the first linked) edit: terrible spelling, sorry

OK, I'm new here and my grammar sucks, but: Don't you think that this site is a giant troll/poe effort? Honestly, read their Christian quotes, the name (paliban) and it's explanation and their posts on the humor site. I searched for a quote of the original founder of the site "Paliban Mom" and got this: irregulartimes.com/index.php/archives/2008/10/02/enter-the-paliban/If this site is for real, they are even more rabid and bat-shit insane than say rapture ready and co. And it would fit to the "Friends of FSTDT"-section. In my opinion they are trolling/baiting just better than most. Most of their articles are written by outsiders, who just publish them there. I did something similar a few years ago: I wrote emails to my friends playing a more than zealous preacher anytime I read something fundy in the newspapers. I don't do it here, because my English isn't good enough to make the sarcasm clear and keep it funny. So in conclusion: I think it's an example of Poe's law.

I've read the Bible a few times in my life, but I've no memory of Unicorns in there. On the other hand, more evidence for the Invisible Pink Unicorn.

It's a Poe site, probably dedicated to showing what the nation would actually be like if we went complete theocracy like many fundies want. The link about the parents praying instead of calling a doctor proves it.

The link about the parents praying instead of calling a doctor proves it. For some reason it took me ages to register Paliban(palin taliban), but yea, it's a poe and a half and a good one at that. I'll have to consider a stealthy posting of it where fundies may not catch on that it's a poe.

Random - the Skeptic's Annotated Bible mentions the unicorn part in their Absurd category. Ditto dragons and satyrs.
So, d'you think you'll link to Poes United, Distind? It'd be funny to see RR's reaction when they saw the link on FSTDT XD

Well according to Numbers, God has the strenght of a unicorn. Kind of explains why he can't take on Iron Chariots. They're also mentioned in Job. Newer bibles change the translation to oxen, but we all know the 1611KJV is the only true bible.
