I was using 98 until 2 years ago and it was great, now I'm using XP that BSODs whenever I try to connect to a network when the printer is unplugged. Anyone know how to fix that?

My first experience with Vista was when a customer called me to go configure their new machines to use the network printer. I think they learned some new swear words. Bought a new laptop with vista pre-installed. Vista never had the chance to run first boot setup. Went into the bios, set DVD-drive as first boot device, popped an opensuse disk into the drive and never looked back. Now i have windows 7 installed next to mandriva (hey, I try different 'nix distributions ). I'm happy with it. Actually the first time I don't dread booting windows in a long time.
