"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you: Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

Ahh, I see you're one of those weak liberal Christians who thinks that Jesus was some kind of peacenik hippy! He IS the LORD of LORDs and the King of KINGS! When HE comes back, the hem of HIS robe will be red with HIS enemie's BLOOD!
Just like last time.</sarcasm>
Srsly, man. That stuff has humanism written all over it. I mean, think about it. Not caring about every dime and every breadcrumb? Not going postal when someone's rude to you? Not caring if someone is your denomination because the Bible also says you trust people who worship Jesus the wrong way? Where would the world be if no one wanted the credit?
Yes, rhetoric so thick, you'll need a bone saw to cut it.

*clears throat, then declaims*
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Looking at this topic, it is now clear to me that the Fundies are right when they say atheists don't understand the Bible.[/sargasm]
