I recommend www.PCCBoard.comIt's sort of like a support group for alumni and former (sometimes current) employees of Pensacola Christian College. Pensacola Christian College has earned the reputation of being the strictest liberal arts college in America. The college is ran in an Orwellian fashion. They are so behind the times, and want the student body to have the appearance and behavior of young people before 1957, or so. The forum members don't look back on their experience with too much fondness. The school has too many rules, and they operate inside a bubble. And for some reason, many of them really like Weird Al Yankovic. Nevertheless, the current affairs section is dominated by Right-wing opinions, and talking points, expressed through Limbaugh dialectic. I'd watch out for MacArthur Parks, he seems to hold crypto-fascist (and latent racist) views, and is sure that if Obama got elected, then God would pour out his judgment. I haven't been on that site, in a few months. I haven't been in the mood for negativity. There are a few liberals and disillusioned folks, but the board is firmly Fundie. Pensacola Christian College has carved out a niche with their textbook publishing business. That's what they are known for. It helps keep tuition costs low for their homeschooled (and parochial schooled) student body. Also, they pay their warehouse and print shop student workers below minimum wage. The board is really Fundies discontented with other Fundies. Interesting.

I do most of my quote-mining at the Christian Post "news" site ( www.christianpost.com) and Boundless.org's "the Line" blog ( www.boundlessline.org) I sometimes use original posts, but mainly prefer comments--that's the unedited stuff by people who aren't even trying to please anyone, the way I see it. Boundless is Focus on the Family's ministry for young adults that tries getting them married as quick as possible. And incidentally, I've got a bit of fuckwittery from their main site I want to share. See ya.

The 'Fighting Fundamentalist' boards are good for some lulz. Any conservative Baptist or Pentecostal board will be, as well as any Catholic board, especially the "traditionalist" Catholics who think that Vatican II was a liberalizing of the Catholic church. Also look for sites that claim to be "confessional". These are sites that are conservative movements within mainline christian denominations who think that the liberalism in their churches has gone on for long enough. Those are some good search tools to start off with.

I want to add something here; you don't necessarily have to go to a fundy xtian board to find an great deal of xtian fundamentalists. I've found that Yahoo News, World of Warcraft offtopic boards, GameFAQ's, Topix, and even City-Data have their fair share of fundamentalists, enough even, I think, that you never have to go to an explicitly xtian site. And, for the record, that's both sad and scary at the same time.

I've found that Yahoo News, World of Warcraft offtopic boards, GameFAQ's, Topix, and even City-Data have their fair share of fundamentalists. City Data is a big one. For some reason the place is lousy with fundies. I can't imagine what it is that draws so many fundies to such a neutral, objective, non-politically-affiliated site. I'm surprised no one has mentioned OneNewsNow (or as one user cleverly put it, "One (Sided) News Now"). That's where I get most of my blog fodder.

Rapture Ready is pretty much the mecca of Fundie retardation.

Convservapedia is a pretty good one. I forgot about that one. You know a site is Fundie Gold when they have the phrase "The "O" in Obama is for overrated" on their front page. Lol.

I used to get most of my stuff from forum.prisonplanet.com/, although since I've been banned I can't get anything from there, lol. It's a great site for "Christian Patriot" quotes. And by "Christian Patriot" I mean . . . uh . . . Well imagine the worst of CSTDT injected with a good bit of FSTDT.

Rapture Ready and CARM are the classics. Any answers board--from Wiki Answers to Y!A, gets its fair share of fundies and generally stupid people, especially in the Religion sections. If anyone can find message boards directly related to Liberty College or Judson College, they would be a goldmine. I personally went to Judson for a semester and flunked out--not for academic reasons, but because I didn't go to their Tuesday prayer meetings every week, despite having already driven an hour each way on Sunday just to get to Mass (this is when I was still a devout Catholic). I remember my roomie crying on the phone to her mother about what a horrible person she was--"I used the F-word again today, mom. I keep trying not to use it, but it just comes out! I just want to stop saying it!" Imagine hearing that sort of drivel every other evening. Imagine not being able to go out on Friday night because there's no "downtown" to go out to. Imagine, after church on Sunday and mandatory prayer meetings on Tuesday, being invited to come to church Wednesday night by about half of your classmates. That is the hell I went through for an entire semester. I couldn't have left fast enough. Pensacola Christian College has carved out a niche with their textbook publishing business. That's what they are known for. You mean A Beka Books? I used that curriculum in elementary school. It took me years to undo the brainwashing, but the actual academic standards of their non-science curriculum isn't half bad--surprisingly advanced, in fact.

The board is really Fundies discontented with other Fundies. Interesting. In all truth, this is true of every fundie board ever. Pretty much, I used to post at Christian Forums (most unoriginal name ever) and over the course of a year they went from grudgingly allowing non-Christians to heavily restricting them, then they targeted Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses, then it was the liberal Christians, that's the time when I finally got sick of the moronic rules and left. Fundies just need a group to hate and scapegoat. When they are in a place where only believers are allowed, then it's the other believers. But what's really funny is that the site actually produced more atheists than converts to Christianity. They actually closed a subforum because of this.
