Got around to seeing Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. It was pretty. The "omg the earth is actually alive u guise srsly" bits weren't as grating as I thought they'd be. "Gaia" looked a lot like the Lifestream though. The Phantom Gaia vs. Earth Gaia bit looked a lot like Meteor vs. Holy too. Guess it's to be expected, seeing as how FF7 is Square's favorite, it seems. But it was pretty.

Got around to seeing Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. It was pretty. It also lost $82 million at the box office, which I only found out recently. I also found out that the worst-performing film financially ever is something called Sahara (lost $122 million), which is so famous that I've never, ever heard of it. To drag things slowly round to the actual point of the thread, Inception. Recommended. |

Una Novia Errante (A Stray Girlfriend).
Not exactly bad, but it's irritating at times, and the ending isn't so much a conclusion as saying "and then the vaguely interesting stuff stopped happening".

Greenzone on blu-ray - looks and sounds fantastic, cracking lil movie, somewhat Bourne in Iraq, along with some good WMD debate material along with plenty of thrills and spills - Matt Damon is very much Mr Dependable for quality performances these days.

Silent Hill, on the SyFy channel. Yes, they show decent movies. Apparently once a year.
