Silent Hill, on the SyFy channel. Yes, they show decent movies. Apparently once a year. ... also, thanks shadow, I want to watch Zombieland again now. Totally random here, but now I keep pronouncing SyFy as "seefee". Which is like, isn't that the reason they changed the spelling of their name in the first place?

Just watched Inception. Definitely a good movie, and unless something really crazy happens, the best movie that will come out this year.
Like Memento, the opening scene isn't the first event chronologically. I'll refrain from spoiling it, but there comes a point in the movie where you go "Yeah, I know what that scene means."
Also: The Top. It's important.

Thirteen Ghosts. I wish they had gone into more of a back story with the ghosts though, they were interesting looking. All they give are their names

A-Team finally came out in this damn country. Everything went better than expected! I went in expecting a series of explosions with no real bearing on the original series and/or actors trying to hard to be the original cast and came out after watching a series of explosions that were well linked together and all felt relevant and the cast had a great group dynamic going. As good as it was ever going to be without Mr T. My second favourite film the year just after Iron Man 2. I love it when a plan comes together.

Saw the A-Team yesterday, big, loud and kinda funny - top notch stuff in the 'switch off brain before watching' category. Also saw 'Zombieland' - absolutely appalling - possibly the worst film i've seen in a year or two.

It seems to be one of those movies that people either hate or thought was great. Haven't heard anyone say it was just "meh".

I like Zombieland because it was poking fun at other zombie films.

Saw "Micmacs" last night. Very French, and entertaining as hell.
To sum it up: the protagonist lost his father to a land mine thirty years earlier, and he almost died when he was accidentally shot in the head. The surgeons decide to leave the bullet in his skull rather than risk killing him by removing it. Fired from his job, he makes a go of busking and is then adopted by a "family" of apparent refugees from a circus... a human cannonball, a contortionist, a girl who can guess weights, distances, etc. with near accuracy, a gadgeteer, etc. Our hero discovers the factory that made the bullet that nearly killed him - and right across the street, the rival munitions plant that made the landmine that killed his father. Brushed off by both firms, he decides to get revenge - with aid from his new friends. The caper has some moments that defy belief, but it's fun to watch, and the payoff at the end, involving the war profiteers, is satisfying.

I just watched Session 9. When it was over, I put my head in my hands and sighed, "Ahh, that was stupid."
Can anyone suggest a good horror movie? I've been searching for one. I thought Session 9 would deliver, but it was just dumb. And to give you an idea of what type of horror movies I like, I watched the Ring when I was 14. I'm 21 now, and haven't seen it since, but it STILL disturbs me.
I also saw Orphan recently. Good, but pretty fucked up.

Let's see... I watched Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride part 2 in the same day. They were mildly amusing, Steve Martin's character reminds me a bit of my grandfather... The day before that I watched Bridget Jones' Diary, which I didn't particularly like.

I saw "Despicable Me" tonight... in 3-D. It was worth the extra $3. I hadn't seen a 3-D movie in over a quarter century.
A few nights ago I caught Spike Lee's "Bamboozled" on IFC. One of his more controversial "joints," about a TV exec who launches a modern-day minstrel show that revived all the black stereotypes.
