Totally agree about Dr. Strangelove, never seen any of the others. Funny Games was most known for "breaking the rules" in film, where one of the characters frequently addresses the audience talking about plot and build up. The character also rewinds the history of the film and changes the outcome with little explanation as to why/how. You should add that one to your Nextflix, Sim. Also you're dead to me as a friend in horror until you see House of 1000 Corpses.

Funny Games sounds interesting, and I'll House too, because I can't be dead to you, I always need new suggestions for stuff to watch.

Yojimbo is great. I usually end up watching it, and A Fistfull of Dollars back to back. I've always thought that Last Man Standing is a decent retelling of the story as well, but most people seem to either hate it, or have never heard of it.
I've been wanting to see Hrafninn Flýgur, which is an Icelandic remake, set during the Viking Age, but it seems pretty hard to come by in the US.

That film pops up on ebay and amazon every once in a while. There used to be the awesome video store in my area that had 100s of rare movies including Fritz the Cat, but went under a few years back. It's been a pain to find anything not mainstream since.

My flatmate hadn't seen Sherlock Holmes, so I got that out last night. Still a fantastic movie on the second viewing. He hasn't seen Zombieland either, so I grabbed that as well.

Zombie Strippers was just plain weird. I felt like I was getting hit in the head with a sledgehammer with all the anti-Bush rhetoric. And it wasn't good rhetoric either. The movie alternated between taking it's self seriously and not taking it's self seriously.

Vampires Suck with one of my gay friends. It was a friend date. I approve of the movie and laughed myself silly.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Zeus' Beard, it was terrible! I won't list my many grievances with it lest this descend into an F&B piece but suffice to say the crew have obviously never read the book LET ALONE come within 100 miles of Greek mythology.
For the last bastard time Hollywood! HADES IS NOT THE FUCKING DEVIL!

I was babysitting a three-year-old girl saturday and her choice of movies included Barbie In Thumbleina, Barbie of Swan Lake, and Mulan.
Mulan is the only one I approve of as it is an awesome movie. The other two... Good God, Barbie is a horrible camp councelor, hiking guide or whatever. Every story she tells has her as a self-insert main character.

Just watched Lego: The Adventures of Clutch Powers. Actually surprisingly good for what is essentially 90 minutes of product placement. Though I suppose Lego have always been open about that. It's better than the Bionicle movies they made. Everything that could be made of Lego IS Lego. And counting the sets I spotted, there was Rock Raiders (or whatever the reboot of that line is), City, Mars Explorer and the Medieval.

Mulan is awesome. Harley, at least you didn't have to watch the Disney Fairies movies or whatever... THOSE are painful. I actually liked Barbie's Nutcracker Suite.

Highway to Hell: If you want to see Jerry Stiller get blown away and watch Gilbert Gottfried play hitler this is the movie for you.
Basketball Diaries: I'm kind of pissed people on rotten tomatoes rank this movie so low and rank Splice so high.

I just watched Perfect Blue. WHAT. THE. FUCK.
It's good, though. Very scary, intense, and mind-screwy. I highly recommend it.
