LOL I was just kidding. ;D Oh I know, but I've had enough trouble with my account this week. I don't want to tempt the WoW gods.

okay so I downloaded little snitch, I just don't know what's good and what's bad. I Googled everything I didn't recognize, but nothing sent up a red flag. The keylogger probably isn't constantly sending data out, though, so keep it running and watch for anything suspicious. Do you have any idea how you might have acquired the keylogger?

I went on a website to check the current price of gold for my server. I was hacked 3 hours later. It's either that or because I'm on my school's network and someone found a way to infect it via that connection. I know nothing about compooters.

Just to be sure, how do you know it's a keylogger, specifically?

Some Googling turns up nothing about a keylogger on that site. And they seem too big to be throwing away customers by keylogging them. It's definitely possible, but can you think of any other way that you could have picked it up?

They got into my WoW account. There are other ways to get passwords, though. If you're on a wireless network, the transmission might have been intercepted. It could even have been simple brute force if your password was weak.

I manually typed it in once and was hacked shortly after.

NOT suggesting this, but how easy is it to reload the OS on a Mac?

Easy, they all come with a rescue DVD.
Yojetak, do you use Time Machine?

Easy, they all come with a rescue DVD. Yojetak, do you use Time Machine? Nope. I'm currently running Tiger, time machine is for 10.5 or later.
