...which, given all the publicity stunts that get pulled in Hollywood (et al.), probably what the film studio wanted in the first place. This was discussed to death over on another forum I go to; the general, across-the-board agreement, was that the producers made the original "Oh noes!" press release in an effort to drum up publicity. Given the number of "controversial" films released over the years, including ones that were hailed by critics & viewers alike as absolute crap (like "Expelled," "September Dawn," and "Religulous"), had they made the effort the producers would have easily found someone.

Given the number of "controversial" films released over the years, including ones that were hailed by critics & viewers alike as absolute crap (like "Expelled," "September Dawn," and "Religulous"), Metacritic ratings: Religulous: 56 (noting mixed reviews) Fan rating 7.6 (out of ten) Expelled: 20 (noting largely unfavorable reviews) Fan rating 3.6 (out of ten). Seriously, Sky, shut the fuck up.

September Dawn (note: Half.com vendors were listing their DVDs as factory overstock even before the official release date) Religulous (even the "positive" reviews have negative overtones) You were saying?

September Dawn (note: Half.com vendors were listing their DVDs as factory overstock even before the official release date) Religulous (even the "positive" reviews have negative overtones) You were saying? Ummm, sky, you should note that for Religulous, the fan response was actually at least a fair bit better via the IMDB scores. Half and half plus decent fan ratings is hardly "hailed by critics & viewers alike as absolute crap". Reality does not bend to your whims, sky.

The truth. Even your wiki link largely hurts your argument. Except, as demonstrated by both my evidence AND yours, Religulous was not. It was not hailed as awesome, but it was certainly met by both fans and critics with a far less negative response than you would portray. In short, "Reality does not bend to your whims, sky."

Unless it's modernised the whole thing and made the beagle into a Battlecruiser with an FTL stardrive and FUCKIN LAZOR CANNONS then meh. Biographies are pretty dull. But, yeah, knowing that 61% of your countrymen are clinically retarded must be annoying.
