It seems to me that Yahoo Answers is a sounding board for idiots seeking public validation for their assinine views. Without the exposure that the internet provides, they would be happily ignored by the rest of the world.
ETA: But then again I mostly venture into the Politics and Religion sections.

In one sense, he does have a bit of a point: in the few months since Obama won, I've seen a number of self-identified liberals become increasingly belligerent towards those who self-identify as conservative or libertarian. And it is, indeed, hypocritical for some of these same liberals to have used the "dissent is patriotic" shield during the Bush years.
However, the way the OP phrased it and the responses given drown the point out in partisan hackery.

Your right there is a bit (bit being very small.....almost microscopic) of a point.
While some idiots on the left have done this it is far far far far..........far as bad as it was during the Bush administration, were you had that sentiment coming directly from the White House.

Except that Bush lost the popular vote in his first election, and won the election in the Supreme Court. That certainly got him off to a bad start with people who believe in democracy. His competency, both before and after 9/11, along with his draconian, antidemocratic measures, lying to the American people and to the world to try to justify an unjust invasion of a sovereign nation didn't help. Of course, they may have just hated his chimpy smirk, I'm not sure.

This is what passes for political thought in right wing circles. For most it never gets beyond this point. It's on the level of the arguments you'd hear in an elementary school playground.

I agree with Sky - it's unfair to call right-wingers unpatriotic for dissenting from Obama or the present Democratic government. I may think Republican economic policy is a lot of things - foolish, reckless, and (in response to this crisis) non-existent come to mind - but it's not anti-American.
The yahoo poster is still a tool though.

Can we still call them unamerican for supporting torture, lie-based wars, unitary executive powers, and ignoring the constitutional rights of the American people?

If 'unAmerican (if you're an American citizen) or 'anti-American' (if not) means anything (and that is highly debatable), they mean 'in opposition to the views and values of the American people'. If we use that standard, I'm quite happy in saying that the Republican party is the unAmerican, often even anti-American, party, and the democrats much less so.
Of course, unAmerican is often used as shorthand for 'black' and antiAmerican for 'believes in peace, equality of opportunity, and economic stability'. If some Republicans consider those good definitions, they shpould come out and say it.

Friend of mine posted a question on both the health and marriage sections, about finding some sort of support group for people whose spouses have serious conditions. In this case, a heart condition, whereshe's already been put on the list for a transplant and is scared she's going to die. The responses were things like "DON'T DIVORCE HER!" Which was against the body of the original text. In the meanwhile, he posted me links to a bunch of "Is he cheating on me?" Questions, and a lot of the responses were the same self justifying responses you hear from the audience of daytime talk shows. So I'm pretty sure it's not just the religion and politics sections.
