It's a proboards feature. Some forums want to keep their content g-rated.

If the content of a site goes beyond a certain point, it risks getting blacklisted by certain search engines or ISPs. One site I was on had that happen to it. So many assholes started flame wars in the "religion" board that the site was branded a "hate" site by at least one ISP and so said ISP blocked its users from accessing the entire site. The site admin had to delete the religion board in order for the block to be lifted, and it was about a year before it returned.

Hey, SkyLIAR, how about a citation on that?

Well I have to admit, this one should be easy to guess. Who is the disgruntled Ut ah resident with moderator rights? I had it as "The Hell Hole (AKA Ut ah)". Renae changed it to what it is now.

Hey, SkyLIAR, how about a citation on that? ISPs blocking content really doesn't sound too outrageous to me. There have been more high profile cases such as AT&T threatening to block 4chan and the Australian bill to block half the internet. Comcast had a battle with the FCC over blocking P2P networks. I am sure such things are more commonplace than is realisedJust because Skyfire says it doesn't mean it's automatically false.

Sky, the friendly atheist has recently been marked a 'cult/occult' site by trendmicro's security agent, generally speaking these things are done automatically rather than based on any reason. I know, as FSTDT has been blocked as a hate site more times than I care to count.
