...
No matter what you believe about marijuana.
If you don't admit that this is way way WAY too far...
You're a fucking tool.
This is BEYOND excessive force!
Not to mention they fired at an animal with a CHILD IN THE HOUSE!
Children are unpredictable. What if the child had managed to get away from his mother and run to the dog as it was being shot?
Not to mention they actually killed the dog AFTER it was wounded!
And injured a Corgi! A CORGI! Corgis are NOT threatening canines!
...
I can only hope karma is working.

What's even more disturbing is the large amount of people saying the SWAT team was in the right.
Because, you know, a legalized amount of weed is enough to murder someone's pet over. Especially a caged pet.

Guys, it is obvious as to why the Police shot the corgi. The corgi was going to murder the family later that night, and then use their identities to take over the world under a new communist regime! All funded by marijuana, milk and universal healthcare!
Corgis are devious, evil things that must be stopped at all costs.

I read about a case like this one...granted, it was in Reader's Digest, but still. According the article's writer, shit like this happens because they give police too much training in the wrong kind of thing, and not enough in valuable things, like common sense and what constitutes "going too far".
There's also the idea (which I wholeheartedly support) that assholes are attracted to jobs where they're put in authority positions, as well as those sociological tests that indicated people in authority positions very strongly tend to abuse the power.
tl:dr:stfuskyfirewannabe: Police tend to be over trained in combat, under trained in common sense, and douchebags. Fuck them.

And people call me a lunatic when I say I don't trust cops. Yeah, people do that when I tell them I don't trust black people.

Normally I'm one of the people who defend police action......but I got nothing for this one! It seems like straight bullshit. I hope the family get a really, really good lawyer.

I wonder what these cops knew about this place prior, honestly.
I mean yeah, shooting the pets is a large step over the line.
In all honesty though, we're only hearing one side

In all honesty though, we're only hearing one side The video was taped by the SWAT team itself. The only other thing we have are the police reports, and from what I've heard, they've been kinda inconsistent or such.

Yeah, and the vid shows the entrance, subduing a guy, and gunshots in the background. I mean yeah, if the police reports are inconsistent, then yes, there seems to be some bullshit amist...but I'd rather see everything laid out before I get on the "Fuck da cops" bandwagon

You would hope that the Police had information, even if it was wrong, that drugs were being sold out of this house and the occupants were dangerous for them to send in SWAT. My problem is that it should have been apparent very quickly that there was no danger and their info was bad.
