The fourth is my second favorite. I'm a big fan of the third one. I have the fifth, but I really don't like it. I can't get used to the graphics, and it makes playing not very fun. I like the fourth because you can play heroes by themselves--it's more about the heroes and less about your army. And a sufficiently strong hero can whoop any army's butt. XD It's been aaages since I played three, though. Five is okay--the graphics are nice, but not really Heroes-ish. They also make it hard to play it on my ancient laptop. >.< The poor darling just chugs along in pain, trying to process it. I was playing one until about two years ago. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Then I was introduced to three and I've never looked back. You're right about the graphics not being Heroes-ish in five. I think that's why I don't like them. It's the same reason I don't like a bunch of the Zelda games. I don't like change. That's probably why I like three so much. It's a lot like one, only...more. If that makes sense. Also, I have the cheats for three. I like to beat a scenario, and then go back and do it again, only use cheats the second time to check out all the stuff I missed.

I use cheat codes some of the time, but not very much. I suppose my favourite part of IV is that the heroes are actual units--if you wanted to, you could have an entire army full of heroes. (Which in some campaigns is what you end up doing when you've gotten to a high enough level and it's not really worth it to have the wimpy first-level army units in your party.) I remember three being the most like the original. Maybe I should look into getting a copy of it for my computer. I'm fairly sure it can take it.

THOU SHALT NOT SPEAK ILL OF BLIZZARD! When they do things, they do them right. So very, very right. Mm. Then why the fuck was I paying $15 a month to ALPHA test the Ret pally class of WoW for WotLK? I refuse to recognize World of Warcraft as a real thing. It's like fairies or eskimoes, just something made up by people who have too much time on their hands. LALALALALALALACAN'THEARYOULALALALALA I also bought a secondhand copy of 'Psychonauts' for PS2 some time ago but I haven't played it yet. I'm a big fan of RPGs and Final Fantasies and the like. Not everybody's tastes, I know, but that's what I like. Fantasy and fictional settings are preferable for me--I mean, I live in the real world all the time, why would I want to turn on my PlayStation and see a virtual real world? Play. Playplayplay. It is the most weird crazy hilarious game ever, and the final level is as disturbing a thing as I can remember.

I'll probably start playing it this weekend. I thought Psychonauts looked like fun when it first came out, and I watched the Zero Punctuation review on it and decided if YAHTZEE liked it, then it was probably worth playing. Unfortunately, when I decided to buy it the game wasn't available anymore and I had to get it secondhand. (My best friend worked part-time at EB Games at the time---yaaay shared discounts!)

It was actually Yahtzee's review of it that got me interested in it. So worth the money!

That's right...I had just spent 15 minutes planning and later assaulting a room that we had already cleared out minutes earlier. Complete and total DOH! Take care, Jay Be glad that's all you did. On one of the first Rainbow 6 games, I inadvertently wiped out half of my own team with a frag grenade. I was running the "underwater laboratory" skirmish map. As the entrance point branched off in four different directions, I left half my team back there to guard the place while I split everyone else up to go scouting. I didn't realize that the corridors tended to double back on each other in that first section, and so when I came to what looked like a nice open area I noted some heart beats and so lobbed a grenade. Too late. I'm used to the controls of COD and Battlefield, so I'll walk up to an ammo crate and, instead of pressing A to open it, I'll press B to toss a grenade on top of it. And it always seems to be where I can't back away quickly enough (couch or wall behind me, etc.). A message then appears, saying something like, "You have killed yourself and your entire team. You have been demoted because you are a dumb @$$." Take care, Jay

Anyone else find it much easier to travel through DC by the Metro in Fallout3 than above ground? Stupid super mutants. You mean the part with the ghouls? Actually, I like it and the DC area because it's one of the few areas in the entire game with NO radscorps. I guess it's pretty bad when I say, "Oh, it's only a ghoul....Oh, it's only a supermutant...Oh, it's only a deathclaw." Take care, Jay

I get to 60 and feel a great sense of accomplishment and end up starting a new character instead I have 62 feral druid, a 60 enhan shaman, a 44 stealth rogue, and a 25 prot pally. The amount of time I've spent on that game recently is somewhat unsettling.

I've played WoW off and on since it was first in beta. I used to get invited to all the betas, LOL, but not so much anymore.
Anyway, I have an 80 Human Mage, a 75 Dwarf Rogue, a 70 Dwarf Priest, a 70 Gnome Lock, a 70 Belf Deathknight, and a handful of other characters, mostly in the 30-40 level range.
If anyone is interested, my Alliance characters are on the Alterac Mountains server, and my Horde ones are on Malygos.
I only play a few hours a week, but I'd be happy to say "hi" to ya.

Take care, Jay Nope, Ghouls aren't much of an issue, they fall fast when getting hit with the sledgehammer. I've just been trying to get to the radio station in DC and stuck in area with a Super Mutant with a rocket launcher, he keeps taking me out. But now I'll stick to the subway.

I will say "OH HAI" to you when I fix my UI, but isn't Malygos full? Also I play on Thunderlord (Alliance toons) and Archimonde (Horde toons), oh yeah I'm a PvPer Although I have some RP toons, mostly I use a UD Death Knight on the Wyrmrest Accored server. If you don't like RPers or PvPers plz don't give me crap. At least my RP DKs story isn't along the lines of the "Vampyr/Worgon son of Arthas" bullshit I've seen flying around.

Bought Final Fantasy X last week and it's fun as Hell both metaphorically and literally. Weapon and armor customization is rather bothersome as most of the equipment I get ahold of has little to no empty slots.

Once you get the hang of the weapon customization, it can be a lot of fun to make some super-kickass weapons. Especially if you can't get the ultimate weapons of certain characters, you can come up with something nearly as good as--or better!--than the ultimate weapon. (Lulu's is a bitch to get, which sucks because she's my favourite character.)
This should go into the 'Confessions' thread, but I loved FFX. And X-2. Nobody seems to like either of those games, but I love 'em.
