I am SO sick of the slippery slope argument about gay marriage. People at work were going on about it the other day, "if we let gays marry, people will want to marry children/animals/siblings next!" and I dropped the "hey... if you don't like something, say, incest or bestiality, argue against that. But don't try to say "this other thing over here will LEAD to these things I don't like, therefore this thing is wrong." So, that said, why shouldn't we let gay people marry? Other than trying to make it sound like its vaguely related to OTHER stuff you just assume everyone is against?" Stunned silence. By the logic of the slippery slope argument, we should outlaw heterosexual marriage because it will lead to gay marriage which will lead to...

OMG, I'd seen that on the board a few times and laughed my ass off, but I had no idea that's where it came from!

Also results in stunned silence.

I like that the Washington Monument, long famed for its phallic symbolism, is visible from the window of the room where Barack Obama is having a (very happy, apparently) dream about Palin and Bachmann going at it.

Is that supposed to be Obama? Also, what's wrong with taxing the rich? Isn't that better than taxing people who can barely afford to feed themselves and their families? Oh, wait, this is the US.

Take a poor person and a rich person. Tax them both for 30% of their entire funds.
Who is more devastated? If you answered the rich person, congratulations, you're thinking in numbers and not reality. The right answer is the "poor person" because they likely are living off of every penny they have, take even one away and you might as well devastate them. The rich person will not suffer a single bit of inconvenience.
What is so fucking hard to understand about this!?

B-but the rich people create jobs like a boss! They may be overseas... but they create them! Well, sometimes, probably not right now. Overseas if they do.
Wait, I mean, they spend money for luxuries that go to businesses that create jobs. Like someone has to MAKE that diamond ring or yacht, totally unlike anything a poor person would buy. Poor people buy things like food that just magically appear without anyone having made it.

Got these off Cracked, and they are HILARIOUS. You may read the comic in full here, but beware - it's like the My Immortal of horrible comics.

I've seen that one before; it reminds me of the Michael Dukakis comic. Dick Hafer really was a hateful little man

Yeah, except that moments later a bunch of armed thugs show up with words on their shirts like "Republicans" and "Tea Party" and "NOM" and "Fundamentalists" and start beating up all the women.
