Yep, I love how they conveniently ignore the fact the Chinese bought up all that money to artificially weaken their own currency to ensure their position as a cheap producer. The moment they try to sell it all back, all their factories they've invested so heavily in will be producing shit too expensive to sell, and they'll just be left holding the bag. But I'm suuuuure the Chinese will want to royally fuck themselves over to punish America and prove some stupid neocon talking point.
Also worrying about the deficit and ignoring the fact that we're in a recession, and deficit spending is by far the quickest and most sensible way of getting us out. It's sort of like worrying about wasting your pepper spray, and, oh, btw, you're being disemboweled by a bear. I have the sneaking suspicion they *want* the economy to tank as hard as possible so they can blame the Democrats.

Never underestimate the mind boggling level of stupidity China is capable of: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hai_jinDuring the 15th, and 16th centuries, China had a navy that was greater than Europe's navies combined. They did extensive exploration, and are believed to have reached to the Atlantic, and possibly the Americas. This exploration filled the Ming Dynasty's coffers, but then one day they decided to burn their ocean fleets, burn much of the documentation of Zheng He's voyages, ban most private maritime activities, and severely restrict what little was left. They also sunk much of China's wealth into extensively adding to the Great Wall--the Ming Dynasty are who made the Great Wall what it is today, though there were earlier walls, dating back as far as the second century BCE.
