Is it possible to believe in heritage and racial purity without being a racist, do you think?

You can be proud of your heritage without being a racist.

Is it possible to believe in heritage and racial purity without being a racist, do you think? It is possible to believe in heritage without being a racist. It is not possible to believe in "racial purity" without being a racist, seeing as no such thing actually exists.

Is it possible to believe in heritage and racial purity without being a racist, do you think? How is one defining heritage in this case? As to the second part: "racial purity" bullshit is racist. No way around it. This is even before going into the "race isn't a real thing, genetically speaking" issues. Saying that inter-ethnic reproduction causes impurity implies that one ethnicity is inferior to another. Really sort of bad implications.

id like her (and all racists) to be genetically tested to let them see how 'pure' they are...

Pretty much on board with the prior comments, heritage is one thing, "racial purity" is another. Speaking as a Scots-Irish-Galician-Welsh mongrel, I should know this.

I am the world champion of being a mongrel. I seriously wouldn't be shocked if I had alien DNA in there somewhere.

I don't think I have any Scottish in my bloodline. Closest is some English and Welsh.

You can be proud of your heritage without being a racist. You'd be surprised how often people think they cross over. You'd be amazed how many skinhead hangers-on show up for mediaeval festivals.

My mom's maiden name was Moore, implying some African or Arab in the bloodline from waaaaay back. She is known to have English and French blood, and possibly some Native American for all we know. Dad is Italian. I am a white mutt and proud of it.

Just found out that I have Italian mixed in there somewhere. So multiple Native American tribes, African American (the ancestor in question was a slave, so I don't know if I'll find out where her family was from, exactly), just about the whole of Europe (German, Irish, Scottish, English, Italian, French)...next thing you know, I'll find out I have ancestors from China. Or Japan. Or that crazy piece of land currently called Russia. Heinz 57 is my race, but they won't let me put that on any of the questionnaires I get.
