Yes, but if you have no physical body, the point is moot Without a physical body you don't exist, is what I'm saying. What we think of as our "minds" are inextricably tied to the body, they aren't separate. Yes, but, according to christianity we have this thing called a soul, a spirit within ourselves, so no body is needed, to them it exists before and after your earthly body, that is what god will reward or punish

Again, you're assuming that all Christian denominations have exactly the same theology; this is not the case. I've noted that those denominations who hold to Hell being mental in nature also tend to hold that a person's final judgment is based as much on their actions in life as anything else. In this case, the monk would get to go in as he'd have spent the bulk of his life doing good by his belief system; Dahmer, on the other hand, would still have some explaining to do. Wouldn't it be a hoot if that were the case?

Bart Simpson made the same observation in Sunday School. If I recall the episode correctly, the teacher (unable to give an answer) got exasperated and sent him out of the classroom. Yeah he did. He also asked if a pirate would meet up with his missing limb(s) in the afterlife lol.

Yeah he did. He also asked if a pirate would meet up with his missing limb(s) in the afterlife lol. If it's one of the more enlightened theologies, then yes. More enlightened, but still astoudingly ignorant enough to believe in divine retribution, eternity, afterlife... Would you be referring to the same enlightened theology that refused to give African Americans priesthood rights till 1978, thought people's skin colour changed due to sin, still refuse equality for women, deliberately shit all over the beliefs of others who have died for their religion, take as much as they can at every opportunity and return as little as they can, and when they do, try to screw the recipient for 'equivalent' 'volunteer' work at less than minimum wage... That 'more' enlightened theology? The one with spiritual polygyny? What the fuck are you comparing it to douche, people that lock their kids in their basement and force them to have sex with them?

I was speaking in generalities. That you choose to go off half-cocked and make assumptions tells me you've got some issues that may well need to be addressed.

I was actually asking for a clarification of your insanely pathetic 'general' spin, and your utterly egregious usage of the phrase 'more enlightened'. So which fucking 'ones' did you have in mind now you have a chance to be VERY SPECIFIC dumbass! Go on you champion little student of history you!!!! 5... 4... 3... 2... Impress us or fuck off. ---------------------- Oh and answer the frigging questions above. Were you referring to that religion, and which fucking asstarded insane cults were you erroneously comparing it favourably to, being that Charles Manson had some more enlightened philosophies than fucking half your insane 'prophets'.

Hey dumbass, believe it or not, but most people on this board take issue with your lies, dodging, intellectual dishonesty, revisionism, unaccountability, ludicrous spin, feeble debating skills, denial, distortion and WAIT FOR IT, delusional claims of persecution. Well guess what. If you chose to address that - you did mention these issues need to be addressed - well that'd be fan-frigging-tastic! Take as much time out as you need. We're delighted you've hit step 1 - admitting you have a problem.

Sky, allow me to translate if you wheeeeeeeeeel. He didn't choose to go off half cocked. You see, regardless of what religions you were speaking of, your use of a phrase like " more enlightened" is an issue. Not even the concept of some people being more enlightened, but your use of it. but seriously, is it that ridiculous an assumption that you would lump your own religion into the "more enlightened" category? Are you going to tell us even you find your own to be less enlightened? See? Not half hocked either way. But I will ROFL if you tell me you don't think your own religion is more enlightened, because that would defeat the purpose of being a devout member in the first place.

Stop using the 'half-cocked' term all the time till you understand the meaning of it. He understands it. He just wants/needs/tries to kid himself it's all criticisms of him are inaccurate, worthless, baseless, malicious or invalid. Chalk it up in the fail list that's rapidly dwarfing the Library of Congress.
