Kansas Rep. Pete Degraaf says women should plan ahead for rape pregnancies. He uses 'life insurance' as an example of how HE plans ahead, yet he advocates banning women from buying insurance to cover the very thing he advises them to plan ahead for. blogs.pitch.com/plog/2011/05/pete_degraaf_rape_flat_tire.phpWay to go, empowerers of man!

"Plan ahead to be raped-- remember, it's YOUR problem and your problem ONLY with what happens after you're violated!"
If it's like planning for a spare tire, should I keep a spare uterus in my pocket?

I think this guy should be butt raped then forced to pay for his own HIV test.
Maybe then he'll understand.

One of the commenters said something (slightly OT) that made me think. This is really an important question to ask anti-abortion activists.
"By the same token, if all these people really, truly, honestly believe life begins at conception and a single cell is the functional equivalent of a fully grown adult, why don't they have baptisms, funerals and Christian burials for all of the menstrual products of sexually active, fertile women? Since it is a proven fact that the vast majority of conceptions don't implant (but there's conception so there's a full human,) it seems they're callously neglecting millions and millions of souls of millions and millions of baaaabeeeees, every month flushing them down the toilet and throwing them out in the garbage. It's science, sure, but really simple, observable science, the kind they can sometimes tolerate." -JLiz

He's an idiot to buy life insurance. Life insurance pays less interest than an average bank account. You're essentially paying an insurance company to hold onto your money.
Obviously women shouldn't be required to get rape insurance, just like I shouldn't have to get murder insurance.

The idea is that you'd be investing less than the policy would pay out, but it's a gamble. The issue is actually that women want to have this insurance - to have abortions for pregnancies caused by rape to be covered by their medical insurance, but that people like DeGraaf want to ban them from having it.

Perhaps we should put chastity belts on all men.
You know, for insurance.

Perhaps we should put chastity belts on all men. You know, for insurance. Could be kinky...did I say that out loud? He uses 'life insurance' as an example of how HE plans ahead, yet he advocates banning women from buying insurance to cover the very thing he advises them to plan ahead for.Putting it that way, the man's "advice" to women is retarded. And if I may be blunt, I don't think he know wtf he's taking about. All his statement does is show what a heartless, a-hole he is.
