"The problem, of course, is the relationship between that phrase and the US right wing. You know, the ones who are petrified of everything from black presidents to black helicopters to Black Sabbath.
Yes, they piously claim to be "pro-life", but it is a simple platitude, for - to paraphrase Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride - I do not think that word means what they think it means."
I approve of this article!

The hypocrisy of the right in America is staggering. I felt all good after reading the article, although, part of it that bugged me was that no matter how many times you show the hypocrites just how hypocritical they are, or how reality does not work the way they seem to think it does, they still dont budge. They continue to run around with Hitler mustache Obama signs and everything.
Seeing this so often, leave one without hope. Nothing changes these people, least of all where they get all their energy from to continue to campaign their bullshit. Seriously who really has the time to stand outside planned parenthood clinics just to harass people? What kind of dick do you have to be when you think doing that is a good way to spend your time? I can barely get all my household chores done in a week, let alone find time for crap like that.

Awesome. This also serves to point out just how biased our own news reporting is.

This would do well to explain why they are the way they are: home.cc.umanitoba.ca/~altemey/It's basically the psychology behind authoritarian followers, which is a personality type, not necessarily a political orientation. Once authoritarian followers accept an authority figure/party, they believe whatever they're told to believe without thinking anything through. Authority figures are generally considered to be above the law, which is why there is so much hypocrisy amongst the leaders without their followers calling them on it. Authoritarian leaders are typically manipulative bastards that know how to get what they want from their followers without really believing in the ideals they spout off, which is why so many of them are hypocritical in the first place.
