Oh, God, she reminds me of one of my classmates. No one likes her, everyone makes fun of her behind her back, she's as phony as a three-dollar bill, and she keeps pushing her way into places no one wants her.

The idea of Sarah Palin speaking speaking about POW's and soldiers who are missing in action just sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

Hasn't she thrown her hat into the 2012 ring yet?
She'll ride anything to get elected.

Back in 'Nam when our troops were taken prisoner en mass by the Turkish forces under Emperor Hirohito, they used balloons to signal where they were taken so stealth fighters and Blackhawks could rescue them before Osama Bin Laden got to them first...

If she's going for personal enjoyment, she really shouldn't announce it as part of her tour. If she's going as part of her tour, she really should make sure the organizers want her there.

Well, she seems to have no plans to speak there herself, so she didn't do anything besides compete. I guess she just out it up on her tour so people know where she's going in general.

It's weird that DePaulo didn't inform the rest of the group about her participation if he thought that it would/might be an issue. "On the road" isn't really an excuse in this day and age either. Clearly there is some sort of problem if Shpak is making a point of speaking about it.
We all know it's part of a political move, but the miscommunication within the organization seems to be the center of the issue.
