A fellow Norse pagan. Why hello there What a list..I don't..Gah, I don't even know what to say. Some of it makes sense I guess..provided it wasn't ridiculously abused. Why do I have the sinking feeling that the "protection of freedom of speech" is just their way of saying they want to be free to tell those filthy homosexuals they are going to burn in hell. Also, the freedom of religion likely means the freedom to be Christian. I shouldn't assume, but if they are anything like the wing nuts over here (and by the majority of the list, they are), I'd say I'm like spot on.

American right wingers would crap themselves if a leader of their country proposed what right wing PM John Howard made policy in the wake of the Port Arthur Massacre. He banned all semi-automatic rifles and all semi-automatic and pump-action shotguns nation wide.

Pump action shotguns? Why? Was there a reason given? Pump action are not full or semi automatic. They are no more dangerous than their bolt action or break down brethren.

I think the US has an advantage in that we have explicitly stated rights. Aussies... not so much. Although Aussies have actual healthcare, which is a big plus for them. I'm also not sure how corporatist their business policies are.

I don't know that much about Australia, but based on this list, I'd say that the American Tea Partiers are the crazier (or at least farther right) right-wingers. The second point on the list ("Establish full employment and fair wages; support/re-establish manufacturing industries in Australia.") would be considered radically far left in the United States. Most elected Democrats wouldn't dream of supporting a living wage and full employment.
