I do think that homophobia works. They may not fear individual homosexuals, but they do fear homosexuality.

A few years ago, the Samantha Bee did a segment on the Daily Show about a Florida man who wanted to ban lesbians from his local pool league because he found them to be distracting (according to the president of the pool league, he was upset that a lesbian beat him). This idiot described himself as, not homophobic, but "homonauseaic." How's that for making up a synonym for bigot? That sounds worse. |

I do think that homophobia works. They may not fear individual homosexuals, but they do fear homosexuality. And some of them, at least, would probably count as phobic in a clinical sense, too. |

I never understood why people who think of what homosexuals do in the privacy in their own bedrooms, and find it not only sicking, but use that sickness as an excuses why homosexuals should be in the closet, are the ones who are declared sane. |
