Damn, you weren't lying about the quote at around 2 minutes. That made me lol.
Furthermore, that's the first time in around eight or so years since I've heard the Powerpuff Girls theme. Talk about nostalgia.

I'd just like to point something out - and I am sorry to be a downer, but I was really made to think here - Not everyone who acts like a gay stereotype is actually gay, and to assume they are or to insist they should be is feeding into a negative association of behaviour and sexuality.
As well, there's no good reason why all the gay characters should fit into those stereotypes, even though most of them do, and that's a terrible example to show kids.

Someone get me a citation on how Toph is gay.
Ironbite-might be reading too much into that.

I like this coment: I've thought they were gay for a few years now. There's an episode of Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law, where they have them fighting for custody of Johnny Quest, and that Indian Kid...funny stuff...

And yet you don't notice how this thread is full of assumptions that various fictional characters are just waiting to come out because they act somewhat effeminate? 'Oh I just can't wait until they out so-and-so!!' That broad-sweeping attitude that someone can't drift outside their own gender's typical behaviour without having their sexuality become an issue doesn't bother you at all? Thanks for the pointless sarcasm though.

Thanks for the pointless sarcasm though. Cliches and tropes (which stereotypes can fall under) are all story-telling tools, neither positive nor negative. They can be used to great effect or worst effect. I think you're overreacting.

Maybe, it just struck me as unfortunate that people fall into them without thinking about it. Though I don't think I warranted that kind of response.

It's not like we're demanding them to be gay. We're just hypothesizing. It's not doing much harm at all. You're overreacting.

Still waiting on an article about Toph being gay folks If I could find it, I'd link it. I swear I remember reading it as Word of God, though. Dammit.

I like giggling at the idea of certain characters being gay, especially when the characters in question tend to follow stereotypical "TTLY HETERO" roles, like the big, macho men and the little, swoony women.
