Dear America, We suck Love, Vene P.S. Why do you think it's a good idea to cut funding for a food safety organization that has found cause for 19 recalls in the past 2 years? Why do you think it's appropriate to decline to track the strain of E. coli that lead to an outbreak in Germany (including deaths)? Why are we trusting people who care solely about profit with something like public health? Oh well, it's not like the general public cares about something as unsexy as this. Plus, it's science and we both know that Americans have no respect for something so elitist. www.chicagotribune.com/health/ct-met-pathogen-program-20110704,0,7222819.story

Dude, you profit blockin' us! Cut that shit out!
And wow, really? A whopping $4.5 mil? That'll save soooo much...especially when the elderly and disabled who subside on government healthcare have to continuously go to the hospital thanks to deadly infections (screw the young, healthy punks, they pay their own way for health!).

Maybe if the E. Coli was a pretty young white woman accused of killing her pretty little white girl, then the media would be all over this and the public would scream for more funding given to the program?
...too soon?

I love how they're trying to squeeze blood from a turnip when the military budget is so damn bloated. Then again, that money usually goes to fat contracts, which is why Congress doesn't want to touch it (and offend their buddies) and at the same time why our soldiers so rarely seem to have what they need. It's win-win. Unless you're a soldier, a taxpayer, and/or sick.

Why are we trusting people who care solely about profit with something like public health? Because not doing that is for something portrayed as bad. How overused is communist?

Yeah...
Stop abortion because it's murder, but go ahead after they're born and kill them with food poisoning. Makes sense.
(Not.)
