The eBay discussion boards are full of fundies and uber conservatives

I found it a bit odd that we recently had a few fundie quotes submitted from a Flyleaf fan forum. What are fundies even doing listening to Flyleaf in the first place much less going to their forum? It is just bizarre... www.flyleaffans.com/vbulletin/It is generally believed that Flyleaf is a Christian band, considering their propensity to make somewhat "happier" lyrics. Happier than what, exactly? I'm always shocked by the sheer number of fundies who go to Poe sites and think they're serious. Landover Baptist, for example, is so hilariously over-the-top, it's hard to imagine anyone taking it seriously.

All of Flyleaf's members are vocally Christian, at least to the point that they don't make it any secret. I've never seen them make a big deal about it, it doesn't seem to influence their music in any discernable way, and they've stated publicly that they don't consider themselves a Christian band. Even so, you have fundies all over the internet talking about how they are a Christian band just because all of the members in it happen to be avowed Christians.

Yet they hate Alice Cooper, another avowed Christian.

This calls for an addition to Poe's law: "However exaggerated a Poe is, someone will take it seriously and agree with it." You will see it is an equivalent to rule 34.

It doesn't say "thousands of somebodies." *cringe*

I'm still scratching my head at the vast amount of Fundies--some of them particularly infamous--on the Naruto and gamefaqs forums.
I mean, seriously, what the fuck? Especially on Naruto. They should be all about hating that, what with its occasional reference to Eastern mythology, and the fact that Orochimaru could pass as the Antichrist.
That Cursed Seal of Heaven looks suspiciously like 3 sixes, does it not...?
