Like many members of Congress, Rep. Michele Bachmann has been a fierce critic of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, blaming the government-backed loan programs for excesses that helped create the financial meltdown in 2008.
And like millions of other home purchasers, Bachmann took out a home loan in 2008 that offered lower costs to the borrower through one of the federally subsidized programs, according to mortgage experts who reviewed her loan documents.
Just a few weeks before Bachmann called for dismantling the programs during a House Financial Services Committee hearing, she and her husband signed for a $417,000 home loan to help finance their move to a 5,200-square-foot golf-course home, public records show. Experts who examined the loan documents for The Washington Post say that they are confident the loan was backed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. How the hell can a person take advantage of a program they want to get rid of? The hypocrisy of it just pisses me off so much. The Tea Party should make, "fuck you, I got mine" in to their official slogan, since so many of their members clearly feel that way. It's okay when good people benefit from such programs. It's just those poor people, those minorities, those...Fiends who leech off society!
...Unlike me, since I totally deserve the benefits the programs I'm shutting down offer.

This is Bachmann we're talking about here. She doesn't know how a toaster works, let alone a financial agency. Stupid bitch even once encouraged people to give false information to the census bureau because 'they were out to get your personal information' to the chagrin of her own party. (This actually resulted in a census taker being murdered.) All she knows about any given state program is her party line: They're bad, they give away money, they literally rob from the poor and give to the even poorer with criminal records. There's a fair chance she has no idea what Fannie May or Freddie Mac actually do. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if she came out to mistakenly axe whatever body governs her own pension and benefits.

Look, if poor people want to be given financial assistance, they should be rich.

...how does a toaster work? Bread goes in, toast comes out. Never a miscommunication. You can't explain that.

What if you put toast in? Does bread come out? It generates an anomaly in the space-time continuum. Don't risk it.

Fine, you clean up the hand, though...
Oh, look at that. A hypocrite. What are the odds.

...how does a toaster work? There's little people who live inside the toaster who light small fires to cook the toast.

Fine, you clean up the hand, though... Oh, look at that. A hypocrite. What are the odds. Nap, the idiot probably believes that if she gets the loans outlawed, she won't have to pay it back. Which is an even more worrying thought for what your country's financial future would be like with Bachman as President.
