I love how this is being treated as equal footing with Joe Biden saying "we have negotiated with terrorists."
Mostly because the "anyone who doesn't side with us is just like Hitler Bin Laden!" Thing was Republican bread and butter in both PR and campaigning modes for the last decade. 9-11 was the best thing to ever happen to Republican dishonesty, because gays are like terrorists. Liberals are like terrorists. Honoured veterans who gave life and limb in service of this country? Terrorists. Well, if they don't agree with you. The troops are sacred if they support you.
Anyway, calling people terrorists is douchey, but racial slurs are kinda...You know, not on the same playing field.

Speaking of racial slurs that are rather obscure...
Saying "jipped" or "gypped" (not sure what the correct spelling is) is actually a slur against Gypsies.
I learned this when an oversensitive moderator I was arguing with on another forum edited my post for that word.
Now, I'm glad that she let me know that, bearing in mind, but... she didn't have to edit my post and just leave a mysterious "Edited for racial slur" as the edit reason. She could have, say, PMed me and said "That's a racial slur, by the way" and I could've just removed it myself... but nope, she was moderating in the heat of arguing with me >_>
I'm really glad that moderators here are not so inclined to abuse their powers.

It's "gypped", as attested by the name of the minority in question.

It's "gypped", as attested by the name of the minority in question. Thought so. I spelled it "jipped" in the post I mentioned, though. Come to think of it, I've only ever heard the word, never seen it spelled. Hmm.

I didn't say they DON'T abuse their power (though from what I've seen, it tends to be counterbalanced by the other moderators) but to the degree of the person I mentioned? No. The woman I argued with on that other forum is not a moderator anymore. Stepped down, actually.
