The rioters are burning houses in random and they loot the shops not because they would want to "redistribute wealth" but because they are using this opportunity to get free stuff.
Besides, how does robbing local small businesses strike a blow against multi-national corporations? Does someone really think that beating/killing the police officers would have some effect on the goverment?

Most of the businesses targeted were not large corporations. Most of them appear to be locally owned. And even if you did burn down, say a walmart or something, it will still cause hundreds of people to loose their jobs and hurt your cause.

Even more-so in that the choice to riot was not over the Stanley Cup, it was a bunch of instigators who intentionally chose to riot win or lose; Many individuals were caught with crowbars, weapons and incendiaries on their person. Who exactly watches hockey with a crowbar stashed in their bag and a bandanna ready for their face? Irresponsible cunts in both Vancouver and London alike. They don't have a cause, despite their claims to the contrary; If they did, they'd march on Parliament and the big-box headquarters, not smash up their own neighbourhoods. |
