To be fair, there aren't as many women spewing vitriol (which may just be their comparative numbers in prominent positions, not that conservative women don't spew bile...I mean look at Coulter), and it's considered "slut shaming" to bring up any sexual indiscretion a female politician is involved with. We're in the Sarah Palin "you're only picking on her because she's a woman!" world of politics now. Anyway...Dykes suck! *waits patiently* on a side note, I don't approve of general "slut shaming," but I love the phrase. |

I don't see how it'd be slut shaming to mention that a woman's had an affair or boinked another woman, especially as it pertains to politics; that is, if you're claiming that homos are disgusting or that 'family values' are teh awsum, you'd dadgum better stick by your word. It's done to the men all the time, and as long as the discussion doesn't take on an edge of hysteria ("omg she has boobs and she sleeps around?!") it should just be another part of examining the candidates and whether they practice what they preach. Ohhh, right, Ms. Anti-Reason and the sensationalizing media. *sigh* |
