Next time she says this, I want someone to stand up and say "Yes, it was a warning against you". ;D

You'd think an omnipotent god could be a bit more clear with his warnings.
You know fiery writing across the sky saying - "I warn you about - insert thing -. Here is a taste of my awesome smitiness. If you don't fucking listen up to - thing- I'm going to fuck have you, alright? Now STOP it".
Instead of random geological and metereological events.

Weak, ineffectual ones that do almost no actual damage.

For all they know, Irene was caused by God clapping his hands in glee over gays slowly gaining more rights in the US.
"OH MY ME it passed! Yay! ...oops."

Actually, God wanted to bring more rain to Texas. He missed.

If this is true, the US needs to stop all of its activities in the middle east and declare war on god, since he's apparently the greatest threat to American national security.

I wish the corporate liberal media had the balls to actually make this point. Bachmann: God sent Hurricane Irene to hit New York to punish the state for redefining marriage. Journalist: So are you saying that the people who died in New York deserved to die? Or is that only those who supported the measure? What about the people up the rest of the East Coast, in states like North Carolina? Did they deserve to die, or does God just have very poor aim?

I would pay good money to see one of them actually ask her those questions. Seriously, the world is full of warlords, slavery, genocide, corrupt leaders, and so on, yet god is only focused on a bloody spending bill and gay marriage? Why isn't a mini storm popping up over Kim Jong-Il's home, or a flood carrying Robert Mugabe out to sea? Two dudes holding hands get god angry, but violence and oppression are all one big "meh" for him?
