I would pay good money to see one of them actually ask her those questions. Make me a journalist and I'll do it. If she pays you and you write it, wouldn't have make you a journalist?

American politics really needs to start embracing media scrums. It tends to lead to politicians getting called out on their shit more often, and even lets you show up in a Xena costume to shoot a scene for your satirical news programs.

Yeah, she was just joking, har har....next up she's going to Israel to tell racist Jew Holocost jokes. Maybe after that she'll visit ground zero on the tenth anniversary and talk about how Jews and the liberal media flew those planes into the buildings and covered it all up...hurr hurr...she so funny, not

She was only joking. Stupid liberals, no sense of humour. No, she was serious.

She was only joking. Stupid liberals, no sense of humour. If her jokes sound just like when she’s not joking, how do you tell the difference? You’re suggesting she just Poed herself.

She was probably joking and serious. In that order. She was serious when she said it, then her campaign manager did some damage control and it was "obviously" a joke.
Maybe I'm tainted by a very deep anti-Bachmann bias here, but, even if this was a joke, is it in any way remotely funny (by its own merit, not because it is stupid)?

She was only joking. Stupid liberals, no sense of humour. She was joking about whom- deadly storms or ignorant Christians? (I understand that you're not being serious, question directed to her).

The only real joke is Bachmann's campaign itself, and even then no one really finds it funny.

Journalist: So are you saying that the people who died in New York deserved to die? Or is that only those who supported the measure? What about the people up the rest of the East Coast, in states like North Carolina? Did they deserve to die, or does God just have very poor aim? It's even better, since the first death in Vermont was a little girl. What did she do? What crime could she possibly have committed? Yes because Hurricanes and Earthquakes are so supernatural am I right? Better luck next time. And it's only the ones that hit New York and Washington and places they hate. Hurricane strikes the Bible Belt? IT's just a shame. Earthquake hits hollywood? It's a message. For all they know, Irene was caused by God clapping his hands in glee over gays slowly gaining more rights in the US. "OH MY ME it passed! Yay! ...oops." Actually, she was probably facepalming over a BAchmann speech. If this is true, the US needs to stop all of its activities in the middle east and declare war on god, since he's apparently the greatest threat to American national security. Yeah, but which way is Heaven? Remember when hurricanes, earthquakes, and other forces of nature were being blamed on teh gheys? Since it's still going on...Yes. Yes I do. EDIT: Also, it's easy to become a journalist. Getting it published somewhere meaningful is tough.

And if he couldn't just blink us out of existence if he were real.

How does MB know that these events are God protesting the American government and not a protest against all the religious based bigotry coming from religious fundamentalists trying to deny fellow Americans their civil rights?
