The microwave is a magical thing. It can boil water, make tea, coffee, ramen, even boxed macaroni and cheese.
However, have you ever experimented with something a bit...non-standard in the microwave? Like a steak or eggs or chicken?
Just today, I made microwaved steak and eggs for my brother and I. Despite the steak being a bit tough, a problem of the meat itself and not the method, it was actually fairly good. I spiced the steaks up with some salt, black pepper, garlic, and chili powder, and used the same on the eggs and threw in some chopped onions and shredded cheddar. All of it was cooked in the microwave, no stove, no grill.
Sooo...what's the most non-standard thing you've ever made in a microwave? (Food and/or drink)

Yams, which come out really good. The trick is to wrap them in a wet paper towel. This works for pretty much anything that might normally get all dried out and nasty after microwaving.

I've cooked potatoes in the microwave in order to prep them for making hashbrowns. It's a quicker method than boiling them, and doesn't make them tough or dry. Just poke a few slots in it with a knife, cover it in a moist paper towel and nuke it for 4-5 minutes.

Every microwave I've ever owned has a "potato" or "baked potato" setting on it.
Is that really non-standard?

Aren't you not supposed to cook raw meat in the microwave?
I make eggs in the microwave all the time. They're not as good as they are on the stove, but definitely edible.

Actually, they taste better in my opinion. Because the package doesn't soak up all the soy sauce.
I've done the same thing with a lot of pasta dinners too.
