I think the biggest advantage Obama has in the upcoming election is the inescapable fact that the Republican candidates are, damn near without exception, either batshit insane, blatantly pandering to the Tea Party, or both. Well, Huntsman is relatively sane. For example, he has explicitly stated he believes in evolution and trusts the experts on global warming. That's a step in the right direction. And he's the only one, aside from Ron Paul, that doesn't seek to curb gay rights. The GLBT community in Utah was pissed when he stepped down from being governor because Gary Herbert is FAR less friendly to them.

Hency why I beleive the word "relatively" was used. Huntsman seems like a sane republican in that he isnt' frothing at the mouth and our expectations of the party have become so low. BTW, a quick video on why Obama's Hippie punching may be contributing to his low approvals...

Being in the wrong place at the right time? Uh...No? The CLEAR answer is he's a token minority! ...

Gary Herbert, probably. Huntsman stepped down in August of 2009 so that he could be US Foreign Ambassador to China. Herbert is a fucking douchenozzle at best.

Huntsman served as an ambassador for the Obama Administration and he believed in global warming and evolution?
Yeah, he's got a really good shot at winning the Republican nomination.
