eye for an eye. although i would think(hopefully) that it would stop people from doing it. if you beat your kid, you get beat(and I do mean if you beat your kid, spanking is not beating). So how is hitting them not beating them? I would love to see a clear distinction, but have never even seen one proffered, much less stand up to any amount of scrutiny. |

An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth leaves the world blind and toothless. Also! It's secession, not succession. Succession, in a political context, means you are attaining government power from a previous ruler. Example: Succession of presidential powers is passed from the previously elected president to the most recently elected president in January of the year following the year presidential elections are held. Or another example: The king of a given country was typically succeeded by his oldest living son. /rant |

As someone who wasn't fully potty trained until double poor Joselyn's age, I have The Fury. Some kids take longer than others to achieve full bladder control. A child having "accidents" at 2 does NOT mean you fail as a parent, and...okay, seriously, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS WOMAN?!

It's never acceptable to hurt or abuse anyone, but doing that to a young child seems especially cruel. Apparently the Child Protective Services have taken custody of the girl and her siblings. Hopefully her and her siblings will get all the help they need.
I'm against death penalty and/or beating the living shit out of her, but I do wish the mother gets an appropriate punishment.
