I am speechless at the civic responsibility these people feel...It's like watching the first responders during the twin towers collapse on 9/11 - but in slow motion with everyone knowing what they were getting into...

That's the most brave thing I've ever seen. Bravery in the service of logic is civilisation. If only all of Japan were run like this.

These are the kinds of people we should be looking up to, not Hollywood morons.
Hats off to these people.

A long time ago, I developed my own definition of a hero:
Hero; noun A person who helps others despite putting themselves at great risk in the process.

True heroes.
I wish I was as brave as him and the other volunteers.

So the generation that as children got to watch Hiroshima and Nagasaki burn... wow. The lesson is clear: the radiation from their childhoods has granted them super powers, mostly in the field of social conscience and self-sacrifice. We must learn from this, and then market it.

An amazing attitude, wish there were more people like that.
My only wish is that the example of these people be taught in schools.

My only wish is that the example of these people be taught in schools. There's an idea- have them lecture schools avout civic responsibility and rationality.

My only wish is that the example of these people be taught in schools. There's an idea- have them lecture schools avout civic responsibility and rationality. I think they're going to be kinda busy with cleaning up the radiation for that to happen, and I don't think they're going to be wanting to do much afterwards. That being said, I wish I had their bravery.
