Well, this guy is a nutjob. I wonder how many times something like this will need to happen before people realize that when you advocate violence, nutjobs will take you up on it?

He was also rather spectacularly unsuccessful in death as well as life. 'Intending' to take as many people with him as possible, armed with an assault-rifle and 3 automatic handguns he wounded a judge's clerk in the leg. Apart from himself there were no other fatalities this is apparently despite discharging over 70 rounds.

I don't mind them killing themselves, but killing others? Fuck, can't you keep your disease to yourself?

I've met a couple of the UK Mens Rights types, they have some ideas that could be seen in a positive light, such as reforming the divorce laws in England and Wales (at the moment, in a divorce the mother gains full custody of the children, which isn't always for the best) yet anything productive they have to say gets quickly drowned out by the huge amount of bullshit that they also spout, such as how single parent families are to blame for society's problems or the inane belief that many have that there was once some sort of 'Golden Age' when all the problems we have now didn't exist.

On the other hand we should probably be thankful that he failed at killing people so I am not at all upset by his failure. I'm glad for it. I just wish he had also missed the judge's clerk. In the right (or in this case wrong) hands 70 rounds would have done a spectacular amount of damage. So it's best not to correct the nutjobs on this type of topic.

When you react the same way to everything about X, you are invariably going to say something that appears sensible about X. It doesn't mean you've actually put any thought into anything whatsoever. You can see it in all of those "pharmacutical conpsiracy" things. A risky side-effect here, some inconclusive research there, & the next thing you know the fucking Illuminati is behind it.

I'll give credit where it's due, they have put a lot of time and energy into the work they do for divorced fathers, the problem is that they always go too far so that the message that they have gets lost amidst all the shite that follows it.

The only thing that I think when I hear about this stuff: "Why must they always make a mess?" Not their plight or their views, just that they do it so sloppily. Plus, the poor injured secretary. ... Also considering men's rights, I saw a comic that I kinda laughed at. Mostly because wikipedia is a source...
